Joseph Pearce is the foremost Catholic biographer whose best selling works have chronicled the lives and works of G.K. Chesterton, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Hillaire Belloc, among others. He has hosted two 13‑part EWTN television series on Shakespeare and written and presented EWTN documentaries on the Catholicism of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. His verse drama, Death Comes for the War Poets, was performed off‑Broadway to critical acclaim. An active lecturer, he has spoken at major literary  and academic events across the United States, Canada, Britain, Europe, Africa, and South America. He serves as Visiting Professor of Literature at Ave Maria University and Visiting Chair of Catholic Studies at Thomas More College of Liberal Arts. He is editor of the St. Austin Review, series editor of the Ignatius Critical Editions, a senior instructor with Homeschool Connections, and a senior contributor to The Imaginative Conservative and Crisis Magazine.
