Admissions
Admissions Process

Parents and students are invited to attend an Open House at our location on October 23rd or November 13th at 4 P.M. at our location at Holy Cross Anglican Church. You’ll meet our faculty and students and learn about our school’s mission, model, and curriculum. If you are not able to attend an Open House, please call or e-mail us to learn more about Chesterton Academy or to schedule a personal tour at (615) 592-6353 or admissions@chestertontn.com.
Prospective students are encouraged to spend a full Shadow Day at Chesterton Academy. This is a great opportunity to experience Chesterton Academy firsthand. Prospective students are paired with an Ambassador to experience our classes and joyful atmosphere. Contact us at admissions@chestertontn.com to schedule a Shadow Day for your child.
Online applications are open, and we are accepting applications for 9th, 10th, and 11th grades. Our application process is completed online through TADS, a third-party service that captures all the relevant information for your student’s application. TADS handles admissions, enrollment, tuition payments and more. Create a free account and manage everything in one place.
There is a $75 application fee. That fee will reserve your child’s place for the pre-enrollment assessment outlined in the next step.
In order to sit for the placement test, the online portion of the application must be submitted and the fee must be paid. The remainder of the application (student questionnaire, recommendations, and student records) can be completed later.
All incoming freshmen and sophomores are required to take the CLT8 (Classical Learning Test 8) as part of the application. This test will be used as a diagnostic tool to help identify areas of academic strengths and opportunities for growth.
The test covers the following:
- Verbal reasoning skills
- Grammar and writing skills
- Quantitative reasoning skills
This test will be administered on December 10, 2022 at 9 A.M. at our location at Holy Cross Anglican Church.
Each family (student and parents) will take part in an interview with the headmaster or Board members from Chesterton Academy. The purpose is to ensure that both the family and the school are a good fit for one another. We will work with parents to coordinate the interview.
After the application process is complete, and all materials have been reviewed by Chesterton Academy staff, acceptance letters will be mailed out to students. Once your student is accepted, you are then ready to formally enroll your student in the school! This involves signing a tuition agreement, setting up tuition payments, meeting the other students, families, staff, and teachers, and preparing for the upcoming school year!
Chesterton Academy of the Incarnation admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
